What is mum & baby ‘Singalong’ yoga and who is it for?
Expecting to find yourself doing lots of gentle healing postnatal yoga along with lots of singing! This class is the perfect combo for mum & baby where BOTH get to enjoy the class. We will typically start the class in a circle with our welcome song, followed by a couple of warm up action songs for babies. Then we will start to do some yoga for the Mummy’s!
Postnatal yoga is focused around healing our bodies after pregnancy & birth. We will focus on our core strength, our pelvic floor, stretches to get rid of aches and pains & much more. The class will end with some gentle, cool down songs for babies & mums will hopefully get a little relaxation time in too!
Join Laurie, a professionally trained singer & Yoga teacher as she combines both of her passions in one class.
The class is held at Shepton Mallet Leisure centre which has free onsite parking. The room is set up like a play group so there is plenty to keep the little ones entertained.
You may like to bring a comfortable surface to lay your baby on. There will be some opportunities during the class for your baby to join in too (optional) but please note you are always responsible for your own baby during these sessions.
If you need to stop to settle, feed or change your baby then please go right ahead, these classes are relaxed and fun, making them perfect for both mum & baby.
